Studio Jolice
by Mariana Rodrigues
Born in Brazil, at the age of 26 I moved to Paris to study fashion design at Istituto Marangoni, an italian school. Since I can remember I’ve always had a pencil on my hand and I would draw on any piece of paper I could find. Colors have also been a passion since I was very young. I had paintings of Miro and Kandinsky in my bedroom and can definitely say they both inspired me at an early age. About 4 or 5 years ago I began to draw again and this year I really decided to pursue this desire to express myself artistically. In 2021 I created STUDIO JOLICE to present my pieces. My current work is mainly digital using aquarelle techniques and playing a lot with superpositions. The subjects of my work are mainly about women, femininity, and children universe, but also about fighting for causes that speak to me.
